Julie Hakim is an alternative therapist and physical education instructor. She was born in Denver Colorado, U.S.A. and grew up in Athens, Greece.
She graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens with a specialty in tradition Greek dances. She excelled in studying alternative sciences at the Natural Health Science, in a collection of specialties.
Her passion is for physical, mental and emotional health. She has anutmost respect for pain, disease and the disharmony of the human being. This encouraged her to seek out through holistic therapies painless, effective and natural medical solutions and approaches for these problems.
As a physical educational instructor she is in constant communication with children. She has a voracious appetite for learning, and has not stopped for a second studying new material on alternative holistic therapies. She is continuously trying to embrace the aesthetics, the quality of life and the notion that our body is the vehicle that reflects the unique way that each of us acts and feels. (This needs to be dealt with as a whole in order to be in harmony).

Professional activity:
From 1985-2005 she worked as a Physical Education instructor in the greek public schools system as well as in athletic programs arranged by the Municipality of Glyfada.
She also worked as a personal trainer giving private gym lessons, along with lessons in Greek and Latin dancing.
Since 2004 she has been working as an alternative therapist. In 2005 she dedicated herself wholly to the area of Holistic therapy and Chinese philosophy as it captivated her passion and admiration.
- She participates continuously in seminars that have as their subject Athletics, Children, Dance and Holistic sciences.
- She speaks English and Greek.
- She contributes her knowledge with articles for local magazines.
- ...and she never stops learning in whatever draws her attention. During this period she is taking part in a seminar at the college of Athens on "Art History".
